Extracurriculars at Sts. Peter and Paul

Where Students Learn, Lead and Belong

At Sts. Peter and Paul, student life extends far beyond the classroom. We are proud to offer a variety of clubs, activities and athletics that invite students to get involved, discover their interests, build lasting friendships and grow as confident students and teammates within our school community.

Student Clubs

  • Dance Team

Our Dance Team brings movement, artistry and school spirit to life! With 20–30 girls and boys participating each year, students learn basic dance techniques rooted in ballet and modern styles. Dancers focus on flow, stage direction, and performance skills, building confidence and collaboration along the way.

The Dance Team performs several times throughout the year at school concerts, events and special celebrations—anytime there’s a reason to celebrate!

  • Knitting Club

The Knitting Club is a cozy, creative space where students learn the art of knitting while developing patience, focus and fine motor skills. Meeting twice a week, students of all experience levels work on individual and group projects, learn new stitches and enjoy the calm satisfaction of creating something by hand.

  • Comic Club

Comic Club meets every Friday and is perfect for students who love storytelling, art and imagination. Participants study different comic styles and techniques while creating their own original comics. From character development to visual storytelling, students grow as both artists and writers in a fun, collaborative environment.

  • Drone Club

Our Drone Club offers hands-on exploration of technology and engineering. Two clubs meet every Friday:

    • Drone Club 1 (Advanced) for students with prior experience
    • Drone Club 2 focuses on learning through a flight simulator

Students develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills while learning about flight, technology and innovation. The club is currently fundraising to acquire programmable drones, allowing students to learn basic coding and take their skills to the next level.

  • Student Council

Student Council gives students a voice in shaping school life. Meeting monthly, members discuss ways to improve the school community, strengthen school culture and give back through service. Projects include organizing canned food drives, decorating the school and leading initiatives that promote kindness, responsibility and leadership.

Athletics

Our athletic programs are open to all parish families, whether or not their children are enrolled as SPP students. Saints teams emphasize skill development, teamwork and enjoyment of the sport while competing against other Catholic schools and parish teams in the area. Rooted in our Catholic values, we promote good sportsmanship, respect and a positive attitude among both players and fans.

Annual Traditions and Community Events

At Sts. Peter and Paul, our traditions bring families together and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our school community. These annual events strengthen connections among students, families and parish members while honoring faith, culture and service.

  • Trivia Night

Trivia Night is one of our most anticipated community events and the school’s largest annual fundraiser. This lively evening includes team trivia, a silent auction and plenty of fun, all in support of Sts. Peter and Paul School programs and initiatives.

  • Kermés

Our Kermés is a vibrant Mexican-style carnival enjoyed by the entire community. The celebration features food vendors, music from a live DJ, traditional games such as lotería and performances by our Dance Team. This joyful event showcases culture, fellowship and school spirit.

  • Cultural Celebrations

Sts. Peter and Paul proudly celebrates the diverse cultural backgrounds of our families, with a strong emphasis on Spanish traditions and heritage. Throughout the year, students and families take part in celebrations honoring Mother’s Day on May 10, Día del Niño and the traditions of families from El Salvador, Honduras, Peru, Mexico, Venezuela and other Central and South American countries, enriching the life of our school community.

During your tour of SPP, you will discover more about the extracurricular opportunities available to all students.
